Seth and the team at Meta BJJ have been nothing but welcoming and kind to my son. They show incredible patience, understanding, and care for him as a child with level one autism. My son absolutely loves training there, and it means everything to see him feel safe, supported, and confident. I can’t wait to watch how far his journey goes. Thank you Seth for being such an amazing instructor and a positive influence in my son’s life.

I’ve trained with Seth on and off for years! His attention to detail, methodical instruction and passion for BJJ makes him one of the best coaches around!

As a white belt at Meta BJJ, I can honestly say the classes are awesome and unbelievably welcoming. Seth is a fantastic coach who always has great classes planned, and the community he’s built makes learning and rolling a lot of fun. Even though I can only make it twice a week, Seth focuses on the META (the best, essential techniques) and that makes all the difference. There’s no random technique, just a plan and a steadily growing confidence in what to do (and when to do it). If you’re thinking about trying BJJ, Meta is seriously the place. Great coach, great people, and an environment where you’ll laugh, sweat, and get better every single class. Highly recommend giving it a roll- I’m glad I did!

Joining Meta BJJ has genuinely been one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. Before starting, I was really intimidated. I’m not naturally athletic, and as a Muslim woman, I was nervous about whether I’d feel comfortable in such a physical sport, or if my boundaries would be respected. But from the very first class, Seth made me feel at ease. He’s incredibly kind, patient, and intentional about creating a space where everyone feels safe and supported—no matter your background, experience level, or comfort zone. He checked in with me, made sure I never felt pressured to do anything I wasn’t ready for, and has always respected the things I can and can’t do. The community at Meta is honestly amazing. Everyone is welcoming and down-to-earth, and there’s zero ego. I’ve never felt judged or out of place. In fact, I’ve made some really meaningful friendships here. Whether you're rolling for the first time or coming in after a rough day, people will hype you up, cheer you on, and meet you where you're at. I train in both gi and no-gi classes and love them both. The classes are fun, challenging, and structured in a way that builds your confidence without overwhelming you. You’re constantly learning, but at a pace that feels manageable, especially if you’re new. There’s also a great mix of skill levels in every class, and higher belts are always so willing to help out without ever making you feel small. If you’re someone who’s been on the fence about starting jiu-jitsu (especially if you’ve ever felt like maybe you don’t belong in that kind of space) I want you to know Meta BJJ is different. It’s inclusive, respectful, and full of heart. I’m so happy I took the leap, and I’m even happier I get to keep showing up to a space that feels like home.

This is a great school whether you're a beginner or seasoned in this sport/art. With smaller classes, you truly get the attention you require which can be crucial for beginners. This school also offers 1:1 sessions and it's the first to offer an all women's class. Coach Seth is professional, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. His passion will ensure you get 100% out of every class. Even if you're not looking to compete, I highly recommend joining to learn a new craft for both your mind and body while getting an incredible workout.
